â Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover a deleted note?
Unfortunately, deleted notes cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting important notes or creating backups before deletion. In the future, consider sharing important notes with trusted collaborators as an additional backup.
Can I export my notes?
Currently, you can copy and paste note content to save locally. We're working on adding bulk export features in future updates.
How do I change note privacy settings?
Edit the note and look for privacy settings in the note form. You can change between Private, Shared, and Public at any time. Note that making a public note private will remove it from public discovery.
What happens when I delete my account?
Account deletion is permanent and removes all your notes, shared access, and personal information. Collaborators will lose access to notes you shared with them. Please export any important content before deleting your account.
How do I report inappropriate content?
Contact us through our contact page with details about the inappropriate content. Include the note URL if possible. We take community guidelines seriously and will investigate reports promptly.
Is there a limit to how many notes I can create?
Currently, there are no limits on the number of notes you can create. We may introduce reasonable limits in the future if needed to maintain service quality.
Can I use NoteAllies offline?
NoteAllies requires an internet connection to sync your notes and collaborate with others. However, draft auto-save works locally, so you won't lose work if you temporarily lose connection.
How do I earn more points?
The best way to earn points is through active community engagement: like quality notes daily (up to 3 per day), create great content that others will like, and share notes that receive positive feedback. Awards from other users provide the biggest point bonuses (50-200 points).
What happens to my points when I give an award?
When you purchase an award (Bronze: 100pts, Silver: 500pts, Gold: 1000pts), those points are deducted from your balance. When you give the award to someone's note, they receive bonus points (50, 100, or 200) but this doesn't cost you additional points.
Can I take back an award I gave?
No, awards cannot be taken back once given. This ensures the integrity of the recognition system. Think carefully before giving awards and make sure they go to truly deserving content.
Why is there a daily like limit?
The 3-likes-per-day limit ensures genuine engagement and prevents spam. It encourages users to like only quality content they truly appreciate, making likes more meaningful for content creators.
Do I lose points or awards when I delete my account?
Yes, when you delete your account, all your points, purchased awards, and earned awards are permanently removed. Awards you've given to others will remain on their notes as recognition of their good work.
